Your Blue Eyes

Beautiful, dark blue lapis lazuli gracefully embraced by patinated, fine silver arms.

My dark-blue-eyed friend and I sat watching the sky one fresh evening when it was slowly becoming dark and just before the setting sun behind us finally left. The blue sky was peppered with a few bright stars and many faint ones. I have always felt wonder as I gaze at stars just as I wonder at the Earth’s creation of its wide variety of stones such as lapiz lazuli stones just like the colour of my friend’s eyes. These earrings are one result of that wondering, like two drops of the Earth falling from the sky.
