Return and Refund Policy
As with any original art sale, returns and refunds need to be more particular.
A. “Porch piracy” is BIG!
Doorstep theft is becoming common today. If you have it delivered to your home address but it is stolen then d’Elegance Designs will not refund the purchase if we have proof of delivery by the courier.
So in order to prevent such theft, please enter the delivery address of your order for someone who can accept and sign for deliveries and who will be present during the days when the package is expected to be delivered, such as your place of work, a retired person, a friend who works at home, or have it held at your local post office. Please do not have it redirected as follows.
B. Redirection
Redirection is a method also being used by criminals but without your knowledge.
Please do not redirect the package. So ensure that you have the address as explained above.
We attach instructions for the courier not to allow redirection to prevent this happening as much as we can.
It is in our mutual interest if you follow the advice under “Porch piracy” above, before ordering.
C. Damages and issues
Upon receipt of the item(s):
Important: Upon delivery, please take a short video or a series of photos of the unopened box from all angles to show that the seal has not been broken. This will be required for all returns, for example if the item is defective, damaged, or the wrong item has been sent.
1. Inspect your order immediately upon receiving it: Take a video or a series of photos of the unopened, sealed bag with the item in it. This visual record will be required for all returns.
Unopened? Because the sealed bag with the desiccant silica gel pouch inside is to prevent oxygen from tarnishing the metal should the item be returned.
2. We have a 7 calendar days return policy, which means you have 7 calendar days after your purchase is delivered to request a return. To avoid confusion, note that calendar days includes weekend days. We don’t want you to have any surprises!
Contact us immediately if the item looks defective or damaged, if you receive the wrong item, or for any other reason beyond your control, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Opened items with inflicted damage are not returnable.
Bear in mind that colours display differently on different monitors.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards issued by d’Elegance Designs.
3. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with the attached tag, and in its original packaging which is designed to protect the item. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
The tag is there to ensure the item has not been worn or used so that we can be truthful when we again show the returned item again on our website as being one of a kind.
4. IMPORTANT: We cannot accept any items sent back to us for any reason without first requesting a return.
To start a return, state the reason for the return and attach the video or the series of photos of the sealed box and a video or series of photos of the item showing the issue, to support@delegancedesigns.com.
Do not return it until we respond to you.
D. Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the return and refund was approved or not.
If approved, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package in the original packaging. Items will need to be sent to the specified address within these instructions. You will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Depending on the reason for the return you will receive the purchase price and we will let you know should you be responsible for a restocking and cleaning fee of 15% and/or return shipping charges.

E. Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have as in the above Return and Refund Policy, and once the return is approved and received by us, make a separate purchase for the new item. Note that you may be responsible for the return shipping cost and restocking fee as above.
