Purple Rain

Rare mottled violet, lavender, lilac and black Charoite contrasts coolly against patinated fine silver.

After a heavy rain, I looked out from under a cantilevered balcony and marvelled at the slow dripping of water falling from the overhang edge. As I admired the drops I noticed that they refracted a deep purple from drapes across the way. It made me think of a charoite stone set inside a raindrop which led to this rare, mottled, lavender Charoite stone, now no longer mined at the Chara River in Eastern Siberia, hanging inside its silver teardrop.

This hard to find stone can be a uniquely matching set of the Dreams of Love bracelet (BSM22A3) and/or the Charoite Lavender Love earrings (ESS22A4).
